​       I am a young artist from Douglasville, Georgia in Metro Atlanta. Art has always played an important role in my life.  As an outward expression of my passion for the arts and encouragement from my family, I was inspired to start my own business, Mahogany Simone Creations on July 25, 2020. My family has had a significant impact on my life. They inspire me to work hard for what I want and to do what I love to do. Without their love and support, I would have never even thought to start my business.

      Art is how I express myself as a black young woman. The artwork  I create is mainly centered around black beauty, love, and emotions. As a young black artist, I always strive to touch people through my art pieces. I believe that art has a story and a feeling behind it that can help speak to whoever is viewing it. In a society that tries to tear us down, we as black people tend to always have to fight for our respect. Through this constant battle, we are used to setting our emotions aside to keep going. Many people, specifically black people, struggle with not evaluating their emotions/ and or feelings, which can sometimes lead to depression or insecurities.  Therefore, through my art pieces, I want people to know that it's ok to feel and express what you feel.
